The goal of the
national FIVIMS is to contribute to the reduction of food
insecurity and vulnerability in the country, in consonance
with the WFS commitment of reducing the number of undernourished
people in the world by at least 50% by the year 2015.
The
general objective is to provide general guidelines for
establishing an integrated information system on food
insecurity and vulnerability through creating a mechanism
of sharing and inter-agency coordination aimed at improving
utilization of information for decision-making and action
programs at the national and local levels. |
